ETS ACADEMY · LESSON 2
Deploying Your Gifts
Teaching points
- Discovering your gifts is not enough — you must deploy them. A gift unused is a gift wasted.
- Test your gifts in small settings before large ones. Start with service, not stage.
- The body of Christ needs your gift. When you withhold it, others suffer.
- Gifts are confirmed through use. You may not feel ready — serve anyway. Readiness comes through obedience.
- Your gifts are not for your comfort — they are for the body's building. Ministry is about others, not you.
Read in Scripture
- 1 Corinthians 12:7
- Ephesians 2:10
- 2 Timothy 1:6
- Colossians 3:23
- Matthew 25:14-30
Reflect
- What gift are you currently using? How is it building up others?
- What gift are you neglecting? What would it look like to activate it?
- Who has confirmed your gift? What did they say?
- Are you serving from overflow or obligation? What needs to change?
Put it into practice
- Choose one ministry area to serve in for the next 3 months.
- Ask two people to give you honest feedback on how your gifts are showing up.
- Study one passage on spiritual gifts this week and write down what you learn.
