ETS ACADEMY · LESSON 4
Evangelism & Witness
Teaching points
- Evangelism is not a program — it is a lifestyle. Every believer is a witness, whether they plan to be or not.
- Your personal testimony is the most powerful evangelism tool you have. It cannot be argued with.
- The Bridge illustration provides a clear visual of the Gospel. Master it so you can share it anywhere.
- Evangelism must be contextualized — the message never changes, but the methods must meet people where they are.
- Relationship precedes proclamation. Earn the right to share by earning the relationship first.
Read in Scripture
- Acts 1:8
- Romans 1:16
- 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
- 2 Corinthians 5:18-20
- Matthew 28:18-20
Reflect
- When was the last time you shared your faith with someone who doesn't know Jesus?
- Can you clearly and compellingly share your testimony in 2 minutes?
- What holds you back from evangelism — fear, preparation, or opportunity?
- How can you make evangelism a daily rhythm, not a special event?
Put it into practice
- Write out your 2-minute testimony: before Christ, the moment of encounter, and after Christ.
- Share your faith with one person this week — even if it's just an invitation.
- Pray daily for three people who don't know Jesus.
