JESUS GENERATION MOVEMENT

Are You a Disciple?

A teaching resource by Mareneo Flournoy.

Before we make disciples, we examine how we are following Jesus ourselves. This study explores love, obedience, learning, community, and helping others grow.

Start with love

John 13:34–35 grounds the study in Jesus’ command to love one another. Discipleship becomes visible in how we treat people.

Learn, follow, and teach

Matthew 28:16–20 connects following Jesus with helping others follow Him. A disciple learns from Jesus, practices His teaching, and shares that way of life.

Live it together

Acts 2:42–47 brings teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, prayer, generosity, and worship into daily community life.

Reflect and take a step

Use these companion discussion prompts after reading the original study:

  1. Where is Jesus’ love visible in the way I treat others?
  2. What teaching of Jesus do I need to put into practice this week?
  3. Who am I learning alongside—and who can I help grow?

This is a teaching and reflection resource, not a scored assessment.
